About Dr. Joye
Dr. Joye is a true southerner, born and raised in Texas. She graduated from Brenham High School in 1993. She attended Blinn College for one year before transferring to Texas A &M University. She majored in Biology and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree. She then returned to Blinn College, where she obtained an Associate degree in Nursing.
Her thirst for knowledge and professional growth led her to Texas Woman’s University, where she obtained a 2nd Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Nursing. In 2005 she became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She then attended The University of Texas, where she obtained a post-master certification in psychiatric mental health. Dr. Joye earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She has held board certification in Indiana and she is currently board-certified by the state of Texas to practice in family medicine and as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
She has devoted the last 16 years of her career to diagnosing and treating patients with a myriad of diagnoses. She has focused the last 10 years of her career on mental health care, diagnosing, treating, and bettering the lives of those battling mood disorders, postpartum mood disorders, psychosis, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Insomnia, sleep pattern disturbances, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. Dr. Joye has a combined total of 16 years of experience as a provider working in the criminal justice system and in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
She is a married mother of two sons. She enjoys reading and traveling and exposing her sons to different places, lifestyles, and cultures.
